AUSE is the Italian Association of ECSA whose main aims are the following:
  • to promote teaching and university research on European integration;
  • to develop co-operation among its Members and, through them, the widest possible co-operation between universities throughout the world;
  • to manage transnational programmes of research and technical assistance, organise conferences and stimulate networks of academic co-operation, offer its expertise to European programmes and carry out studies in the area of European integration;
  • disseminate information on university activities relating to teaching and research on European integration.
Within this framework AUSE:
  • gathers the leading professors specialised in European studies coming from 4 different areas: economics, political and social science, law and history.
  • promotes the research in the European studies enhancing the co-operation among researchers and scholars coming from different fields. With this aim in mind, the Association through the years has organised a large numbers of seminars, congresses and workshops dedicated to the main topic in the European studies field. Moreover the association is editor of a series of books published with the Publishing house Cacucci and is editor of an international review called "the European Union Review";
  • finally, AUSE issues an on line bulletin called "AUSE News" which informs on:
    • all kind of activities in research and university teaching on European integration;
    • PhDs, masters and all post-graduated courses;
    • traineeships.
